These are new paintings by Brett for the upcoming exhibition, “Dirty Laundry,” opening Saturday, August 4th at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, California. Brett’s paintings are a continuation of “Waiting,” his renowned series of work which is defined by a sense (or loss even) of suspension in a contemporary world of constant movement. Amory’s use of color, mood and metaphor create a feeling of longing, distance and futility but somehow work against negativity and act more as tools of enlightenment. His work will be on display alongside new paintings by Adam Caldwell. More information on the show can be found here.
